Dr. Joseph Shavit was born and raised in Tel-Aviv.

After serving in the military as a paratrooper, Dr. J. Shavit graduated from medical school with honors and traveled to South Africa, where he took part in an intensive internship in surgery and gynecology for a period of five years.

In 1998, he completed his residency at the Sheba Medical Center as a gynecologist and fertility specialist
